Fanatec Releases The Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base (8 NM)
Introducing the official Direct Drive Wheel Base for Gran Turismo®
A Gran Turismo® first – Fanatec’s new Gran Turismo® DD Pro Wheel Base is finally here, it’s the perfect solution for gamers who want to take their driving simulation experience to the next level. It has full PlayStation®5 compatibility and a range of new functions making this the ultimate base for your racing simulation needs.
This new wheelbase package includes the Boost Kit 180, a powerful 180 Watt power supply that unlocks the full (8 NM) potential of the direct-drive motor and is exactly the same as the base found in the Gran Turismo DD Pro bundles.
This wheelbase is a standalone item, unlike the GT DD Pro bundles which come as a plug-and-play system, this standalone option allows you to use the Fanatec gear that you already own without having to pay extra for a wheel rim and pedals that you may already own.
The 100% custom motor was developed in Germany specifically for sim racing and is compatible with Fanatec’s full ecosystem. This means that you can attach an Xbox-compatible wheel and have an arrangement you can use across all three platforms (Play Station, Xbox, and PC).
Of course, this extra compatibility will come at a slightly higher cost. Fanatec’s new Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base (8 NM) comes in at $599.95 at the time of this writing which is $120 more expensive than CSL DD with Boost Kit included.
